One of the most-asked questions I receive in meetings with potential clients is “how long do you stay during the reception?” My answer is for at least an hour of the dancing, but I’m happy to stay to the end if you want to see all the shenanigans and dance moves of your friends and family. When Alexis and Liz sent me their timeline, it was accompanied with a note that they wanted to “prioritize the dancing” and they wanted me there through the very last dance. I wasn’t too surprised, as I knew their focus in planning was really to have a good time celebrating with their guests. Not just dancing but playing lawn games during cocktail hour and enjoying the beautiful setting outdoors as the daylight waned.

While the day had been mostly overcast, clouds let up right before sunset and allowed us to make some a few portraits in beautiful golden light.

As you look through the images, keep a special eye out for a non-human wedding crasher, whose voice was heard throughout the ceremony, leading to much laughter. Their priest insisted animals could only affirm what was happening.
