When you’re in a long distance relationship, you make the most of every opportunity to be together. Kathryn and Ian are in that boat, with medical school and work keeping them a few hundred miles apart. So when we met up for their Old Stone Church engagement session last fall, on a rare weekend together, all they wanted to do was love on each other. Sometimes, the best thing that I can do as a photographer is to give a couple some space, and wait for the magic to happen. It was wonderful to see the smiles they exchanged, the way their fingers twined and how they leaned in close. They were soaking up each minute together. Kathryn and Ian have had a long engagement, and I’m excited to be with them in June as they close this chapter and embark on their marriage together at the Turner Hill Estate.
