Spring’s return signals the start of wedding season in New England. While I photographed a few weddings over the last months – including sweet events at Cambridge City Hall and San Francisco City Hall – my wedding season doesn’t begin in earnest until this weekend. From this Saturday forward, I’ll be photographing a wedding (or sometimes two) nearly every weekend until the middle of November. When most others are planning their vacations, I’m putting in my long hours. Documenting a different couple every weekend and challenging myself to create images that are beautiful, unique and true.

This year, I’m excited to be returning to a number of unique New England wedding venues at which I’ve previously photographed, including the Beverly Yacht Club, Cambridge Multicultural Arts Center, Barn at Gibbet Hill, Endicott Estate, Duxbury Bay Maritime School, and the Hampshire House.

I’m also looking forward to photographing weddings at a number of new-to-me venues, including the Omni Parker House, Barcelona Wine Bar, Barn at Crane Estate, Lyman Estate, Red Apple Farm, Stonehurst, Tufts University, Fruitlands Museum, Eisenhower House, Steven’s Estate, The Villa, Wychmere Beach Club, Dane Estate, Milky Way Lounge, the Living Room, Common Man Italian Greenhouse and the Coonamessett Inn. I love the diversity of locations – from country estates to the center of the city, from quirky restaurants to grand ballrooms, from rustic barns to breezy venues on the shore.

Of course, beautiful locations are just one of the many things that inspire me at a wedding. What truly keeps me going through the long days – that leave me footsore and heart-happy – are the indelible moments that I witness. The excited faces, big hugs, shared looks, tender kisses – every moment filled with emotion. I can’t wait for all these anticipated and unanticipated moments to unfold in front of my lens!
